Asher’s obsession with the world of fly-fishing began with his father and brother on the banks of the Henry’s Fork and its tributaries. His fly rod was his companion on climbing and backpacking adventures in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming during his years at the University of Utah.
His devotion and artistic passion for the outdoor lifestyle and culture continues to inspire him 15 years later. Tradition guides his fishing technique, teaching and guiding style, and ethics surrounding the sport. Asher has a diverse background in conservation, non-profits, film and photography, and action sports.
These skills have provided him with a unique lens on how to view, promote, and capture the essence of the outdoor experience. Clients reactions and emotions to the fish and their rivers prolong Asher's love for guiding and teaching.
Brandon grew up in Northern Utah spending time playing sports and exploring the outdoors. Brandon worked the corporate grind for a staffing firm for eight long years until he found his true passion.
His love for fly fishing led him to Western Rivers Fly fisher in Salt Lake City, Utah as a guide and shop rat in 2009. He revels in teaching proper technique and helping mold future anglers while prolonging the foundations of the sport.
Brandon spends most of his fishing time walking the banks of the Idaho spring creeks, swinging flies for wild steelhead and exploring any new place where fish eat flies. Every aspect of fly fishing has his heart and soul poured into it. His ability to share his passion and enthusiasm for the sport is unique and addictive.
